Our Wedding Album

Pictures with Family and Friends, 2

The Fike boys. These two guys have loved me every single day of my life. My brothers. I thank God every day for these two.

Christina and her mom Gloria, who works with Nadia.

4 veterinarians. Dr. Carole Treat, on the left, is my colleague at work and the owner of Greenway Animal Hospital. Drs. Heidi Hamlen and Nancy Carlson, a year ahead of me in veterinary school, were my guides and mentors when I arrived at Colorado State University. They both practice in California and are two of the most original, creative, and charming people I've ever known.

Angie and Jen work with Nadia

Sharon and Art visit with Rejeana and her daughter Rachel. I've known Rejeana for 15 years. We've sung together in different groups for most of that time, and made two CDs together. She's someone who'll be a friend for the rest of my life.

I've watched her daughter Rachel grow up from a small child to become one of the most beautiful women ever to grace our little world. I don't just love her because she's beautiful, though. She's also a lot of fun to hang out with.

Ned's been a pal for a loooong time. We met by singing in the same choir, too, just as with Rejeana. Ned taught me a lot about singing and improved my musicianship without ever saying a word -- he taught me just by singing with me. Money can't buy that kind of teaching.

Ned lives in Chicago with his wife and 3 daughters and is a soloist in the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Chorus, one of the best, if not the best, symphony choruses in the world. Phat.

Sandy is another remarkable person. She won her age group in the Nationals Masters swimming competition a few years ago. She has been a friend through thick and thin and has some of the most amazing stories you'll ever hear. I never get tired of hanging out with her.

She hosted me and my nephew Randy at her beach house on the Maryland shore 2 years ago. Here we see her right after winning the Puerto Rico Triathlon that same year. She's an animal, that Sandy.

I'm not sure...Wait a minute! Are you two making fun of my piņata?

KO and MaryLou join in on my picture-taking efforts. KO has the kind of spirit that is so bright you can actually see it in a photo.

Rejeana and Troy were among the first friends to whom I introduced Nadia when we began to get serious.

Nadia and Cris

Looks like everyone wants to hug Nadia.

Who can blame them? I like hugging her, myself, and now that we're married, I'll get to do it forever!

Actually, so will Judy. Judy goes to our church. She and her partner Jan are two of our favorites. We all sang in a musical together, It's a Grand Night for Singing, last year, to rave reviews.

And there's Jan now! I've got my eye on you, Jan. The other Judy, on the left, is one of Nadia's old pals from college in Pittsburgh.
